Christmas in Arizona

We traveled to Arizona for Christmas again this year and despite some chilly weather and a stomach virus we had a great trip. Lots of golf, a few trips to the pool, good food and great times with family.

"I like to move it - move it"

Callie discovered the movie Madagascar and loves it. We've been watching it over and over at our house. The song "I like to move it - move it" plays during the closing credits and it is her favorite part. Had to take a video of her dancing to it - enjoy...

Callie 19 months

Callie is learning her p's & q's or as she says, "peeeas" & "dank u." She loves her duck boots and is quite the boss around our house.

Halloween

Callie was a really cute lion for Halloween, but did not like the hood of her costume! I will have to remember not to get a costume with anything that goes on her head for next year. Andrei was a very cute monkey and Callie could say, "oh oh ah ah" for him, but no "roar" for her. We only made it up and down the block trick or treating this year. Callie enjoyed ringing the doorbells and running down the sidewalk better than getting candy.

Fall leaves in Chicago

We traveled to Chicago to celebrate Avery's 4th birthday. Callie has so much fun playing with her cousins. We got some great pictures of them playing in the leaves.

Pumpkin Patch

We took Callie back to the orchard for some pumpkin picking. She had a great time carrying the pumpkins around. If you look close you'll be able to see her "shiner" - that was the result after trying to put Grandma Rosie's antique rocking horse up on the couch!

Callie 17 months

Callie is keeping us very busy! She loves to hang upside, climb and jump off the couches and tables! Her favorite word is "bobby" and we have no idea what she is refering to? Unfortunately, we learned that "na na" means "i want." She can put on her own "choes" (shoes) and it becoming very independent!

Wilson's Apple Orchard

Callie loved the apple orchard... lots of area to run around and get dirty. She thought hanging from the trees and riding in the front of the car was the best part. Oh- and she didn't like posing in front of the mums!

Hawkeye Tailgating

We have been taking Callie to tailgate for a few hours before the home games then sending her home with aunt Jane to nap while mom and dad cheer on the Hawks. She is in love with Herky and we are working on "go hawks"!

Callie 16 months

New words "ears", "eyes" and "peas" (please). She loves Baby Einstein - Day on the Farm and sings along to "e-i-e-i-oh". Her favorite song is Boom Boom Pow by the Black Eyed Peas. She loves the playground: swings forever, hangs and climbs everything and calls the slide a "weee" and likes to go down head first!

Puking blueberries

Callie LOVES blueberries! On this particular evening she ate a whole package of blueberries - as her parents we probably shouldn't have allowed this, but they are healthy - right?! She threw up the blueberries in her sleep and laid in them all night. Justin took this picture of her in the tub the next morning. She wasn't bothered by any of it and still loves blueberries. After washing her crib linens three times I gave up and accepted that the blue splotches will always remind me to use everything in moderation.

Callie 15 months

Callie loves to play in the tub. She learned the word "no" and uses it constantly. She is learning her animal sounds: "mooo", "meow" and "quack".

Callie 14 months

Callie loves the doggies. Remington tries to avoid her and Benelli does a great job putting up with her.

Josh & Sara's Wedding

Josh & Sara's wedding was beautiful. Callie did a great job as the flower girl.

Callie 13 months

Callie is climbing into everything including the dog toy basket and her shopping cart. She loves going to the pool, swinging in the backyard and helping water the plants. New words: "cheese" and "doggies".

Car Seat

Callie got a "big girl" car seat for her birthday, so it was time to turn her around in the car.  She was so excited to face forward and loved her new shades!

Callie 12 months

30 inches and 19 pounds. Callie loves whole milk, carrots, pb & j and waffles. She got a baby for her birthday which she carries around everywhere. New words: "uh oh", "cheese" and "duck".

Callie's Birthday Party

Callie's birthday party was great! All of her friends and family came to help celebrate. She had no idea it was her birthday, loved the cake and let all her friends open her gifts.

My 1st Birthday!

We celebrated her birthday with Grandma2 (Aunt Jane) who brought enchiladas, chocolate cake and ice cream!  Uncle Josh & Aunt Sara sent a shopping cart and she shopped till she dropped... warm up for the party this weekend!

First Haircut

I decided it was time to chop off the "hockey mullet". I wasn't sure how it would go, but she was great! She sat still on my lap and just watched in the mirror. Thank you to Aunt Jane for taking the pictures!

Callie 11 months

Callie discovered go-gurt, chinese food and french fries!  She has serious rhythm and dances whenever she hears music.  New words: "hi", "bye" and "doggies"!

Callie 10 months

Callie loves bananas, cheese, her sippy cup, playlands, walking, blowing kisses and playing with Remington & Benelli!

Spring Break in Arizona

Callie was busy walking everywhere in Arizona... she loved the pool, golf course grass, rides in the golf cart, zoo & playing with grandma's dog, Nikki.  

Tandem bike

Callie went to Chicago for the weekend and got to take a ride on the tandem bike with her cousin Avery.
